Hidden Teachers
Apr 30, 2023The teacher is often found in the most unexpected places and does not fit the narrative of what a teacher should look like. Look, an opportunity becomes visible. Listen, and wisdom speaks. One does not need to travel to the Himalayas. We need to be open to receiving. From people and nature. Simple. Eye contact and smiles go a long way and invite heart connection.
After my first Ramadan fasting experience (a blog in itself), our family took a trip to Sri Lanka. We had many excellent conversations with random people. A waiter spoke of the importance of family, less energy spent on materials, and the world's worries. With the most radiant smile, a lady named Madu said, "love first, money second."
Two essential considerations and priorities. Family and love.
